We stopped by Brickhouse Corner Fitness at 130 N. May St. to get acquainted with this business of 20 years on this Thursday’s Historical Society Business Focus. Cory Miceli and Steve Galloway started the gym in 2011 in the building at the corner of Sycamore and Lincoln Avenue, where Richard Snedeker and Kristin Miceli were employees as personal trainers. In 2014, the gym moved to the old fire station on N. May, and in 2019, Richard bought the business.

Richard is a 2005 Hinckley-Big Rock graduate who now teaches special ed at the high school in addition to keeping the gym open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. When you go, you’ll see all types of equipment for most any training regimen. He has taken a number of measures at the gym to keep people safe during the pandemic, including having numerous air sanitizers to clean the air, offering sanitizing wipes to clean the equipment, and having several stronger cleaning sprays available. Brickhouse Fitness wants to help you reach and maintain fitness goals for healthy living. There are family and student discounts available. Don’t wait! See Richard to get moving!
