Big or small, every animal is treated with an owner’s love and kindness at Lucky Dog Grooming, today’s Historical Society Business Focus. Jennifer Rainford (center) has been a pet groomer for 20 years, during which time she has learned how to handle even the most nervous or active animals. The bulk of her clients are dogs, but cats are also welcome. Even bunnies have occasionally been accommodated!
With the help of Danny, another groomer, husband Walter (right), and receptionist Trish (left), Lucky Dog Grooming salon at 272 W. Lincoln has expanded into a second location in Sugar Grove. The hundreds of satisfied clients (shown on the wall behind Jennifer) can take advantage of services from a simple shampoo to a haircut, coloring, nail filing and painting, and even ear and teeth cleaning with the animal’s personal tooth brush! Visits are recommended every six to eight weeks so the animal becomes accustomed to the grooming and continues to look their best.
Jennifer worked in North Aurora before opening in 2016 at the red building on East Lincoln in town. She moved to her current location in 2018, which was formerly a Shell station, Sinclair service center, and packaged liquor store. Your pet will love the clean, calm environment and excellent care of Lucky Dog Grooming.
